The event started at 12.25 pm in room LX 1203. Prof Dr Michael Kaeding welcomed the participants and thanked all those involved for taking part in this 9th edition of the debate event. Greetings were expressed by the Rector, Prof. Dr Albert, and the Minister for Europe, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the State Chancellery, Nathanael Liminski.
After the rules of the debates were explained to the participants, the final of the 9th edition of NRW debates Europe was officially opened. The debates began shortly afterwards at 13:05.
