New edited volume on the 2024 European elections

On 4 August 2025, Springer will publish the edited volume The 2024 European Parliament Elections: A Turn to the Right in the Shadow of War. The work is edited by Prof Dr Michael Kaeding (Institute of Political Science, University of Duisburg-Essen), together with Alexander Hoppe (University of Duisburg-Essen) and Manuel Müller (Finnish Institute of International Affairs, Helsinki).

The volume analyses the 2024 European elections for the first time immediately after the conclusion of the election cycle and offers a factually sound and timely assessment. The focus is on various facets of the electoral process at European level: the spectrum ranges from electoral systems, election campaigns and public perception to the role of European parties, the factors influencing voting behaviour and the consequences of the election result for European governance.
