Call for applications for the InvigoratEU Academy: ‘Making EU enlargement a success’

  • Event

The EU’s approach to enlargement has changed significantly since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. To discuss these changes and reflect on the necessary policy adjustments required for EU enlargement, the Transeuropean Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) invites interested parties to the InvigoratEU Academy: ‘Making EU enlargement a success’, which will take place in Brussels from 3 to 6 December 2024.

This programme will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of EU enlargement policy and current geopolitical needs and offer participants the opportunity to meet with high-level professionals working on these issues. Through expert-led sessions and meetings with leading EU practitioners, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to actively shape and influence the future of the EU. Read the draft agenda here.

The InvigoratEU Academy is open to young professionals, including young diplomats, junior academics, think tanks, representatives of civil society organisations, junior civil servants, masters and PhD students from the EU, (potential) candidate countries and beyond who are interested in EU enlargement. This diverse group will provide a rich environment for dialogue and learning and give participants the opportunity to interact with peers and members of the InvigoratEU Expert Hub in Brussels. Applications are open to both EU and non-EU citizens.

To apply, please send the following documents in a single PDF file to Romain Le Quiniou (romain.lequiniou@tepsa.eu) by midnight on 15 October:

  • A short CV (1-2 pages);
  • A letter of motivation (1 page) explaining your interest in participating in the InvigoratEU Academy and how it will contribute to your work in the field of EU enlargement.
