On 7 May, Dr Alex Hoppe discussed the likely impact of the European elections on European environmental policy at the ‘Environment under pressure’ event organised by the Federal Agency for Civic Education in Bonn.
Against the backdrop of an expected shift to the right, the participants (Sophie Pornschlegel, Europe Jaques Delors; Dr Manès Weisskircher, TU Dresden; moderator: Katharina Peetz) discussed how parties on the right of the political spectrum are positioning themselves in terms of climate policy and what their chances of success are in the upcoming European elections.
