The University of Bremen is seeking to fill a position as Research Assistant (Postdoc) (f/m/d) in Faculty 8 (Social Sciences) – European Studies in the working group of Prof. Arndt Wonka as of 1 May 2025, full-time with 39.2 hours per week for a fixed term of three years (in accordance with § 2 WissZeitVG).
The postdoctoral position is part of the multinational research project ‘The domestic politics of EU actions against democratic backsliding (DEUDEM)’, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the framework of Weave Unisono. The research project analyses the party-political debates and citizens’ attitudes towards EU measures against democratic backsliding in six EU Member States (Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia) in cooperation with the project partners Professor Michael Blauberger (University of Salzburg, Austria) and Professor Aleksandra Maatsch (University of Wroclaw, Poland).
