Job offer: SHK at the Chair of European Politics and European Integration

The University of Duisburg-Essen is looking for a student assistant (f/m/d) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Political Science, Chair of European Politics and European Integration at the Duisburg Campus.

Your main tasks

You will support the Chair in the implementation of ActEU and InvigoratEU as well as in the area of teaching and transfer. Your tasks will include research tasks, the preparation and follow-up of courses as well as organisational tasks, for example in the planning and implementation of the European Election Collection 2024 and the EP Votetracker.

Your profile

  • You are studying political science or a related subject and are enrolled at a German university.
  • You have a keen interest in the European Union and basic knowledge of its institutions.
  • You have a very good command of German and English and can express yourself well in writing.
  • You have a talent for organisation and work in a structured, precise and independent manner.

Date of appointment: as soon as possible

Contract duration: 6 months (renewable)

Working hours: 8-12 hours per week
