The editorial team of the quarterly journal Integration invites authors from the fields of political science, economics, law, history and related disciplines to submit articles for the peer review process. It also encourages young academics to offer current results from their research for publication.
The interdisciplinary journal is a theory-led and policy-related interdisciplinary forum on fundamental questions of European integration and current issues of European policy. It is published by the Institute for European Politics and the Working Group on European Integration at Nomos Verlag.
The editorial team welcomes submissions that correspond to the content focus of the journal.
For the year 2024, submissions on the following topics are particularly welcome:
- European elections 2024 and European Year 2024.
- Populism, shift to the right and an illiberal Europe.
- Rule of law in the EU/rule of law instruments.
- European policy in Germany and other EU states.
- “Widening” and “Deepening”: reform debate, enlargement.
- European governance.
- Foreign and security policy: Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, EU-Russia relations, transatlantic relations, “Brussels” strategy papers.
- Financial and economic policy: NextGenerationEU recovery fund, EU budget,
debate on the fiscal rules. - Other policy areas: Climate policy, digital policy, social policy.
Deadlines for submission are:
- Issue 3/2024: March 2024
- Issue 4/2024: June 2024
- Issue 1/2025: September 2024
- Issue 2/2025: January 2025
